Winner of Giro’s 18th stage will also race in Slovenia

Italian Damiano Cima (Nippo-Vini Fantini-Faizanè) is next in line of the 2019 Giro d’Italia stage winners that will soon race on Tour of Slovenia. Cima won 18th stage.

Damiano was among three escapees that were caught literally on the finish line. He took stage victory with some luck, as Pascal Ackermann was already there behind him and he was only meters away from new victory.

Damiano Cima was racing Tour of Slovenia last year, his best result was eight in the second stage from Maribor to Rogaška Slatina. His today’s victory only confirms that we can expect some epic sprints on the Slovenian roads.
